The Saudi Authority of Accredited Valuers (Taqeem), the regulator for the valuation profession in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has released the Arabic version of the International Valuation Standards.
The IVS are standards for undertaking valuation assignments using commonly recognised concepts and principles that encourage transparency and consistency in valuation practice.
According to Taqeem head translator Hanan Aldail, this will save a lot of time for the Arabic practitioners in the market.
“Due to the scarcity of Arabic content on this topic, a considerable amount of time and effort was allocated for researching to provide a comprehensive language used by the practitioners in the market,” he said.
International Valuation Standard Council CEO Nick Talbot added: “The release of the International Valuation Standards 2017 in Arabic is another important step towards achieving our aim of bridging the gap between regional valuation practice and international expertise.”
