The International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation has launched a global training partner programme aimed at helping companies apply the International Sustainability Standards Board’s (ISSB) sustainability disclosure standards.
Under the new ISSB Training Partner Programme, selected organisations will be authorised to deliver official training using IFRS Foundation-developed materials.

The foundation has already appointed an initial group of partners for the rollout. It is now seeking further applicants from different regions to join the programme.
As part of this initiative, the IFRS Foundation is introducing ISSB Disclosure Training, a new course focused on the practical application of standards.
Training Partners will deliver the programme to companies that need to work with ISSB requirements.
The foundation noted that more than 40 jurisdictions are in the process of adopting or otherwise using ISSB Standards.
This has created strong demand for structured training to support implementation.
The new course is designed to build practical skills in applying ISSB Standards in sustainability-related financial reporting.
It is directed at those preparing such disclosures – covering sustainability, finance and reporting roles – as well as external advisers.
Course content is based on tailored learning resources taken directly from ISSB Standards and associated documents.
ISSB vice-chair Sue Lloyd said: “The IFRS Foundation is committed to supporting the understanding and high-quality application of ISSB Standards.
“The ISSB Training Partner Programme, which will deliver the ISSB Disclosure Training course, is central to delivering on that commitment.”
In January this year, the IFRS Foundation’s Capital Markets Advisory Committee appointed three new members.
