The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has named the membership of its Management Commentary Consultative Group (Consultative Group), which will advise the IASB as it develops proposals for updating its guidance on management commentary in financial reports.

Members come from around the globe and from a variety of professional backgrounds, including users of financial reports, auditors, preparers of financial statements, securities regulators and standard-setters.

IASB chair Hans Hoogervorst said: “The project to update IFRS guidance on management commentary is a key part of the Board's work under the Better Communication in Financial Reporting theme.  Input from people with experience in this field through the Consultative Group will provide valuable help to the Board.”
