XBRL International has established an
assurance committee to help identify and communicate market needs
related to third party assessment of XBRL data.

The main role of the committee, which will be
chaired by Amy Pawlicki, will be to develop and catalogue awareness
articles and publications addressing the assessment of the accuracy
of information tagged in XBRL format and how to lend credibility to
the information.

XBRL International said the committee will not
develop standards or related guidance for XBRL assurance.

Pawlicki is the director of business
reporting, assurance and advisory services and XBRL at the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The other appointed members of the committee
