A former PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) senior
partner is one of three new members appointed to the UK
Professional Oversight Board (POB).
Roger Marshal was until recently a senior
partner at PwC UK and has extensive experience
auditing FTSE 100 companies across a variety of sectors.
Marshal also previously chaired PwC’s Global Audit
Policy Board.
The other two new POB members are:
– Rudolf Ferscha, who has held a range of
senior executive and non-executive positions in the UK, US, and in
Germany, including a senior management position with the Goldman
Sachs Group; and
– Diane Walters, a qualified accountant and
academic.
The POB’s responsibilities are to oversee
auditor regulation, monitor auditing quality, and oversee
accountancy regulation and actuarial professionals.
