The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and Chartered Accountants Ireland have signed a reciprocal membership agreement (RMA).

Under the RMA, ISCA members can apply for the Irish institute’s chartered accountant qualification without fulfilling any additional professional or educational requirements, and vice versa. This agreement follows the earlier RMAs that ISCA has signed in April 2017 with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland (ICAS).

Both institutes are members of Chartered Accountants Worldwide and reached this agreement following an assessment process conducted with the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC).

SAC chairman Chaly Mah said: “This agreement will give both qualifications greater global recognition and international portability. In the spirit of collaboration and close cooperation, we look forward to this partnership which will benefit our institutes and members as we learn from each other to promote the accountancy sector.”
