Howard Scheck has been appointed chief
accountant in the US Security and Exchange Commission’s (SEC)
enforcement division.

Scheck was previously a partner in the
forensic and dispute consulting practice at Deloitte Financial
Advisory Services.

At the SEC, Scheck will provide technical
accounting expertise during financial fraud investigations.

The SEC enforcement division also appointed
eight professional accounting fellows for two-year terms beginning
in 2010.
