Old Dominion University accounting professor
Michel Stein has been named the inaugural US Public Company
Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) academic fellow.

Stein will be begin his role in the PCAOB’s
office of research and analysis for the academic year that begins
in July.

The office of research and analysis identifies
and analyses emerging accounting and auditing issues as well as
other risk areas that may contribute to audit failures.

“He is clearly suited for the fellowship, and
we believe that the PCAOB will greatly benefit from the insights of
Professor Stein” The PCAOB acting chairman Daniel Goelzer said.

The Old Dominion University is located in
