The New Zealand Institute of Chartered
Accountants (NZICA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
Australia (ICAA) are seeking feedback on a joint CA programme as
both institutes’ forger closer working ties.

The NZICA wants to introduce a five module
programme with an increased technical focus while the ICAA plans to
develop common technical modules based on its existing
programme.

The NZICA said it will ensure the content of
the technical modules is suitable for New Zealand candidates and
future Asian partners.

Stakeholders and members are invited to
comment on the proposals by 8 November.

It is anticipated the programme will be
implemented in 2012.
