Thomas Linsmeier has been appointed as US
Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) member, for a second
five-year term.

The reappointment was made by the Financial
Accounting Foundation board of trustees, which oversees the
activities of the FASB and the Governmental Accounting Standards
Board.

Linsmeier previously worked as a professor,
academic fellow of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and
a special consultant to the SEC with responsibility for formulating
US disclosure rules for reporting market risks.

He was appointed to the FASB in 2006 and his
second consecutive term will begin in July.
