The Korean Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (KICPA) is set to open a national accounting standards
research and study organisation named the National Accounting
Center (NAC).

The NAC has been authorised by the government
to develop, amend and interpret national accounting standards and
develop practical guidelines.

It will also conduct specialised research
across the whole spectrum of government accounting and
reporting.

Deloitte South Korea vice chairman Anjin Pyun
Ho-Bum will be the NAC’s inaugural leader.

The NAC will employee 12 professional
researchers and will share the KICPA’s office space.

The opening ceremony will take place on the 26
July.
