The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation, the
oversight body of the International Accounting Standards Board, has
launched a consultation on its strategy.

The Trustees are seeking stakeholder comment
on four strategic fronts; the IFRS Foundation’s mission,
governance, the standard-setting process, and financing of the IFRS
Foundation.

In a decade the oversight body has succeeded
in its goals of establishing IFRSs as the accepted set of financial
reporting standards in more than 100 countries and moving further
towards a single set of high-quality globally accepted accounting
standards.

The review of its strategy is expected to help
the organisation consolidate and build on these achievements.

Comment on the consultation document is
requested by 31 December 2010.

The strategy review will be concluded during
the IFRS Foundation’s meeting in March 2011.
