The IFRS Foundation has appointed members to
its newly established SME Implementation Group.
The group’s aim is to support the
international adoption of IFRS for SMEs and monitor its
implementation.
It will also develop non-mandatory guidance
for implementing IFRS for SMEs and make recommendations to the
International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) regarding
amendments to the IFRS for SMEs.
Paul Pacter will chair a group of 21
international members from Africa, the Americas, Asia Oceania and
Europe.
Pacter is also a member of the IASB and was
previously Deloitte Hong Kong’s global IFRS office director.
