Arnold Schilder has been reappointed chairman of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) for the period 2015-2017, effective 1 January 2015.
This is the third time Schilder is appointed IAASB chairman, a role he first assumed in 2009.
Previously he was a member of the managing board of the Dutch Central Bank for ten years, as well as chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s Accounting Task Force until 2006.
In 1994 he was appointed president of the Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants and worked for PwC from 1972 to 1998, becoming an international audit partner in 1985.
