The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants have established an alliance to develop business and training opportunities between the Hong Kong and Beijing accountancy professions.
The two bodies will exchange technical knowledge, expertise and training.
It is hoped the alliance will boost co-operation between small-and-medium-sized accounting firms in both cities.
The agreement is part of China’s plan to develop its profession by creating at least 10 large firms and 200 medium-sized firms by 2015.
