Greece has joined the International Forum of
Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR).

The Hellenic Accounting and Auditing Oversight
Board’s first official meeting with IFIAR was at the forum’s March
meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi and hosted by the Abu Dhabi
Accountability Authority (ADAA).

Issues discussed at the meeting included group
audits; the role of auditor scepticism, particularly in relation to
auditing fair value measurement; revenue recognition; and the role
of the engagement quality control reviewer.

IFIAR now has 35 members.
