The International Accounting Standards
Committee (IASC) Foundation has reappointed Robert Garnett as
chairman of the IFRS Interpretations Committee.

The IFRS Interpretations Committee
was until recently known as the International Financial
Reporting Interpretations Committee (IFRIC).

Garnett was due to retire as a member of the
International Accounting Standards Board next month but the IASC
asked him to remain for a further two years to help provide
continuity during a period of significant change to IFRS.

Guido Fladt from PricewaterhouseCoopers,
Andrew Vials from KPMG and Bernd Hacker, who formerly worked for
Siemens, have also been reappointment to the IFRS Interpretations
Committee for further three-year terms.

Feilong Li, who works for Chinese oil and gas
company CNOOC, will replace the outgoing Darrel Scott on the
committee.
