Katrhyn Cearns has been appointed as chair of
the Financial Reporting Advisory Board (FRAB).

Cearns will start her appointment on
7th June and will take over from Elwyn Eilledge who has
held the post since 1996.

Cearns is currently the chair of The Institute
of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) financial
reporting committee and a consultant accountant at Herbert
Smith.

She also has prior experience as a project
director to the UK Accounting Standards Board.

The FRAB plays an important role in advising
the Treasury on the application of financial reporting principles
and standards across government
