The Federation of European Accountants (FEE)
has appointed Hilde Blomme as deputy chief executive.

Blomme has been the FEE’s director of practice
regulation since September 2003. In her new role she will closely
work with FEE chief executive Olivier Boutellis-Taft, who said
Blomme’s expertise and broad outlook “will be instrumental in these
defining times of challenges and opportunities.”

FEE president Philip Johnson said Blomme’s
experience gained while practising as a qualified accountant in
Belgium, US and UK, together with her in-depth knowledge of the
European environment, is invaluable to the FEE.

“Her new role will draw on this experience but
also enable her to develop broader and deeper relationships outside
the profession,” Johnson said.
