The Institute of Certified Public Accountants
in Ireland (CPA Ireland) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India (ICAI) have signed a mutual recognition deal.

The deal will enable a strategic partnership
providing increased levels of service to members. The institutes
will undertake joint research and support trade opportunities.

The deal will also facilitate global career
opportunities for Irish certified public accountants, CPA Ireland
said.

CPA Ireland president Geoff Meagher said the
mutual recognition deal strengthens the existing relationship
between the two organisations.

“Most importantly, in today’s environment,
strategic alliances are integral to ensure continued global
recognition and global career opportunities for our memberships,”
Meagher said.
