The Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants (CIMA) and the Institute of Cost and Management
Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) have agreed to allow advanced
entry for members into their respective examinations.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between
the two bodies will introduce a new CIMA Professional Gateway
examination for ICMAB members who have successfully completed the
ICMAB’s professional examination.

The Professional Gateway examination will
enable a fast track route into CIMA membership.

CIMA members wishing to gain ICMAB membership
will also have access to a fast track route.

The MoU is also intended to enhance global
recognition of the profession and the science of management
accounting.

CIMA president George Glass said the MoU
reflects the fact that management accountancy is a truly global
profession.
