de tempête is an accounting business process outsourcing and business growth advisory company.

ICMAB president Md Kausar Alam and de tempête founder and CEO Mohsena Khanom signed the MoU in Dhaka.

Khanom explained that the partnership would support Bangladeshi accounting professionals in preparing for international careers by providing practical training, market knowledge and access to professional networks.

The planned activities include workshops, webinars and courses tailored to individual countries.

Topics will cover accounting, anti-money laundering, compliance, financial reporting, taxation and VAT.

Participants could also receive assistance with preparing CVs, developing interview skills, building professional networks and understanding workplace expectations in the region.

Furthermore, recruitment support could involve circulating job vacancies, connecting candidates with employers and organising interviews, subject to the relevant requirements.

The two organisations will jointly agree on programme timetables and implementation arrangements.

Alam was quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “Preparing our members, affiliates and students for international careers requires strong technical foundations and an understanding of target markets.

“This collaboration will provide practical learning, professional exposure and career guidance to help them pursue opportunities in the Gulf with greater confidence.”

Last month, the ICMAB and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh signed a joint collaboration framework to expand ties. The organisations agreed to focus on professional development, joint research and publishing, among other areas.
