
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the timetable for the Chartered Accountants (CA) exams scheduled for September 2025.
The exams will encompass Final, Intermediate (Inter), and Foundation courses, with the option for candidates to answer papers in either English or Hindi.
The submission of online examination application forms will commence on 5 July 2025, with the last date for submission without late fees being 18 July 2025.
The CA final exams for Group 1 are set for 3, 6, and 8 September, while Group 2 will take place on 10, 12, and 14 September.
Intermediate exams for Group 1 will be held on 4, 7, and 9 September, with Group 2 following on 11, 13, and 15 September.
The Foundation course examination is scheduled for 16, 18, 20, and 22 September.

By GlobalDataMost exams will have a duration of three hours, except for Papers 3 and 4 of the Foundation examination, which will last for two hours, and Paper 6 of the Final examination, which will be a four-hour paper.
The ICAI has also made it clear that there will be no exams on 5 September 2025 due to Milad-un-Nabi, and no changes will be made to the examination dates even if an exam day is declared a public holiday.
The examinations will be conducted in 318 centres across India, with the exception of Arunachal Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Ladakh, and Lakshadweep.
Additionally, international candidates will have the opportunity to sit for the exams in nine overseas cities, including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Thimpu, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Kuwait, Muscat, and Riyadh.
This notification is in accordance with Regulation 22 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
In May 2025, the ICAI approved a new draft regulatory framework enabling domestic CA firms to enter formal partnerships with foreign accounting networks operating in the country.
