The Dubai Financial Audit Authority (FAA)’s Academy has been formally recognised by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as an authorised Continuing Professional Education (CPE) sponsor.
With this approval, the FAA Academy can now grant internationally recognised CPE credits for all its courses, according to a press release posted on Zawya.

This covers programmes designed for FAA staff as well as those open to professionals from other organisations, delivered either in person or through virtual platforms.
The accreditation also allows professionals with certifications to use the academy’s programmes to meet continuing professional education requirements and maintain active credentials including certified public accountant, certified internal auditor and certified management accountant, as well as other related certifications.
The FAA stated that the accreditation reinforces the academy’s function as a specialist centre for developing expertise in auditing, governance, oversight and related areas, and supports its role in promoting lifelong learning.
Dubai FAA director-general Abdulrahman Al Hareb said: “The accreditation of the FAA Academy by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy represents a significant institutional achievement that reflects the Authority’s commitment to adopting international best practices in capability building and professional development.
“It also underscores our dedication to providing an advanced learning and development environment that supports continuous learning and fosters a culture of excellence and professionalism across oversight and institutional functions.
“This achievement aligns with Dubai’s vision of investing in human capital as a key driver of innovation, development and institutional leadership.”
According to the authority, the academy is being developed as part of an integrated learning ecosystem, intended to build skilled professionals who can respond to change while supporting improvements in institutional performance in line with international standards.
