UK-based Arden University has introduced five new apprenticeship programmes designed to help employers make use of funding available through the apprenticeship levy.
The new offer covers two Level 3 apprenticeships in HR Support and Business Administration and a Level 4 apprenticeship in Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability.

It also includes two Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeships – one focused on Business and the other on Health & Care.
The launch follows changes to government skills support announced earlier this year.
Although the government’s skills review has withdrawn levy funding from some courses, employers can still access levy-backed training across a wide range of programmes including all of Arden University’s new apprenticeships.
Alongside this, additional financial incentives are available. Small and medium-sized enterprises and non-levy paying employers can receive up to £2,000 ($2,661) for taking on eligible apprentices aged 16–24, the university added.
The Youth Jobs Grant offers organisations a further £3,000 for each young person they recruit.
Arden University has structured the new programmes to address varied business requirements and respond to skills gaps.
The Level 3 HR Support Professional apprenticeship, ‘Future People Professional’, is intended to give learners the skills and confidence to deliver consistent human resources (HR) practice across key people functions.
The Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship, ‘Administration for Professional Practice’, is aimed at tackling issues such as weak processes, poor communication and overstretched managers, with a view to improving day-to-day operations.
The Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship is designed to provide learners with tools and frameworks to deal with reporting requirements, unclear internal ownership and net-zero ambitions.
Arden is also offering two Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeships: ‘Project Delivery and Improvement in Business’ and ‘Project Delivery and Improvement in Health & Care’.
Arden University Corporate Learning director Steven Hurst said: “Changes to government funding for apprenticeships is driving many organisations, in all sectors, to reconsider their training needs and how they can continue to invest in future-ready talent.
“Our new courses have been specifically designed to meet evolving commercial and organisational needs, helping businesses to stay lean, responsive and profitable in the years to come.”
Arden University noted that applications are now open, with the first intake scheduled for November 2026.
