Prime Accountants Group, located in Birmingham, UK, has confirmed the elevation of Paislei Godley to its board of directors.

This announcement follows her 24-year journey with the firm, which began when she joined as an office junior immediately after finishing school.

Godley became part of the company in 2001, during its previous branding as Pilley and Florsham.

Throughout her tenure, she has progressed through various positions, achieving her qualification as a chartered tax adviser in 2013, and later serving as senior manager and associate director.

Her official promotion to director was effective from 1 June 2025, representing a notable achievement in her professional journey.

In 2011, she was honoured with the career advancement award at the Solihull Chamber Employee Awards, recognising her significant development.

Alongside her vast experience, Godley holds certifications from the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

In 2021, she attained Fellowship status with the Association of Taxation Technicians, reinforcing her authority in the sector.

In her new role, Godley will oversee the tax compliance division at Prime Accountants Group, which has branches in Solihull, Birmingham, and Coventry.

She will also remain involved in the firm’s tax advisory services, utilising her comprehensive expertise and experience.

Godley said: “At the start there was a lot of general admin tasks – and making tea for the partners! In the years following that, I dabbled in several departments before becoming secretary in the tax department, and it was there I found my love of tax.

“The business supported me with everything I wanted to do – I was mentored, went on lots of courses and eventually qualified after receiving expert Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) training.

“Prime has supported me at every stage of the process and with everything I wanted to learn. If you’re willing to learn, it’s a hugely supportive business – I’ve never wanted to go anywhere else. Prime has always been there for me.”
