Deloitte Netherlands and the Global Reporting
Initiative (GRI) have joined forces to develop XBRL taxonomy for
sustainability reporting.
The new XBRL taxonomy is designed to enable
organisations to tag their sustainability data in reports, to
improve the quality and integrity of sustainability performance
data.
Deloitte and the GRI said the new taxonomy
will help investors, auditors and other report users to access and
compare GRI data more quickly and easily without the need for
excessive manual work.
The programme aims to issue an XBRL taxonomy
covering both the GRI G3 and G3.1 sustainability guidelines.
