CPA Australia has elected a new board following months of controversies leading to the CEO' departure.

Earlier in the year, the disclosure of the pay packets of ex-CEO Alex Malley and other directors on the board put the institute in a tense situation with its members, the media and the public. This followed with the resignation of many directors included Malley.

Peter Wilson has been elected as the new president and chairman of the board with deputy presidents Merran Kelsall and Chin Aik Wong.

The board now has nine new directors elected by the Representative Council of appointed members;
