The US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) is planning to hold six forums on auditing in the small business environment starting in June.
The forums, which will be located in Seattle on 6 June, Philadelphia on 25 June, New York on 18 July, Chicago on 2 October, Newport Beach on 7 November and Tampa on 5 December, will focus on fraud and each case study will incorporate remediation and engagement quality reviews.
The forums, which have been running on an annual basis since 2004, aim to share information about PCAOB activities with relevant public accounting firms and also allow Board Members and PCAOB staff to hear the questions, comments and concerns of auditors.
Attendees also have the opportunity to earn continuing professional education credits.
