The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board
has added 28 new members to its Standing Advisory Group (SAG).
The Board has also increased the SAG members’ terms from two to
three years.

The SAG includes experts in the spheres of
accounting, auditing, financial reporting, corporate finance and
governance and investing in public company. The 15 new appointments
and 13 reappointments will bring the total SAG membership to 42. Of
the new and reappointed members, 14 will serve two-year terms and
the remaining 14 will serve three-year terms beginning in January
2012.

“We continue to find our SAG to be an
important source of insight and advice and we are enlarging it to
give us an even larger pool of experts from which to draw,” PCAOB
Chairman James Doty said.
