David Chin has been appointed Malaysia country head of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), succeeding Jennifer Lopez, and effective 3 November.

Chin assumed the market leadership of the Malaysian office, one of the most important markets for the organisation where it first opened a branch in 1936, according to ACCA.

Chin worked for Western Union Financial Services in different senior roles, most recently country director for Indonesia.
ACCA has 10,878 members and 34,167 students in Malaysia, according to The Accountant’s 2014 World Survey.
