News brief, MoU: French and Japanese oversight bodies, CIMA, ACCA

The French oversight body, French High Council for Statutory Auditors (H3C), has signed a cooperation agreement with its Japanese counterpart to exchange engagement letters.

The agreement allows for the exchange of information between Japanese and French authorities including working documents and reports on inspections findings.


CIMA has signed an agreement with Prince Sultan University (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) for students to gain CIMA’s certification and title alongside their graduation degree. Through the agreement, the university’s accounting students will be able to start their qualification from CIMA’s Diploma in Management Accounting Level.


ACCA has signed a MoU with Kannur University (India) and International Skill Development Corporation Limited (ISDC) for introducing international accounting system in B com, M Com, BBA and MBA courses. Under the MoU, ACCA will provide syllabus and ISDC will provide the training to the trainees of the affiliated colleges. ISDC will also train two teachers, while ACCA will advise the university to improve their academic coverage of IFRS.
