Andreas Barckow, president of the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany (ASCG), has been appointed vice-president of the board of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG).
Prior to becoming the president of the ASCG, Barckow served as the head of Deloitte’s IFRS Centre of Excellence in Frankfurt providing advice on financial reporting issues to audit partners and senior staff.

Under his new role, Barckow will chair the Board’s technical and public sessions held on monthly basis. He will also step in for the president in his absence.
