Seeking an influential leader to be the next Chair of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) for a renewable three-year term, starting May 1, 2019.
The IAASB Chair:
- leads the IAASB’s strategic direction and facilitates the consultative processes that underpin its credibility, standards, and activities;
- acts as the primary IAASB spokesperson, engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders and promoting International Audit Standards adoption worldwide; and
- develops and maintains effective relationships with international oversight authorities and regulatory bodies, national standard setters, investor and preparer communicates, audit firms, and other key stakeholders.
In addition, the Chair will guide the IAASB through any change management activities arising from IAASB enhancements.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader with relevant audit or standard-setting experience and a successful track record setting and implementing strategy; building consensus within multi-national and multi-stakeholder environments; and mobilizing volunteer Board members
