The US Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in Russian and Kazakhstan.

The agreement with the Russian Association of Controllers (RAC) aims at furthering cooperation and joint projects between the two professional organisations.

Negotiations with RAC date back to December 2014 when an international forum of controllers took place and materialised recently at the annual congress of the International Group of Controlling, according to IMA.

The other MoU, sealed with KIMEP University in Kazakhstan, aims at promoting the management accounting profession, particularly among the business education community.

The MoU was brokered by IMA operations in Europe and Yuliya Frolova, assistant professor at KIMEP University and IMA Kazakhstan chapter board member.
