IIA appoints former diplomat as Policy
Director

The UK Chartered Institute of Internal
Auditors (IIA) has appointed David Lyscom, a former diplomat, as
its policy director.

In his new role, Lyscom will lead the
institute’s interaction with key policymakers, regulators and the
profession to ensure the potential of internal audit is fully
realised.

Lyscom has previously held a number of
positions in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office having previously
been ambassador to The Office of Economic Cooperation and
Development, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and chief
executive of the Independent Schools Council. He was also the
ambassador to Slovakia.

IIA has more than 8,000 members in the UK and
Ireland and 175, 000 members globally.
