The IFRS Foundation has appointed Mitsuhir
Takemura as new office director for its Asia-Oceania liaison
office.

Former technical fellow at the
International Accounting Standards Board, Takemura brings
experience in company auditing to his new role at IFRS.

Takemura was also previously a member of
the technical staff of the Accounting Standards Board in Japan and
is presently a partner at Deloitte.
