The Instituto de Censores Jurados de Cuentas de España (ICJCE) has appointed Javier Quintana as director general of the Spanish accounting body.

Quintana joins from the Fundación Internacional y para Iberoamérica de Administraciones y Políticas Públicas, a public body that promotes international cooperation and development, where he worked as director. Previously he was an advisor to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Quintana joins the team of the recently elected president Mario Alonso, who is also the chairman and founding partner of Auren, Spain’s seventh largest accounting network, according to The Accountant‘s sister publication the International Accounting Bulletin.

ICJCE is one of the two Spanish accounting bodies and has 5,200 members.
