The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) will begin offering a diploma in IFRS from February.

The diploma, being run in conjunction with Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), will be available to ICAS members via distance
learning. Participants can expect online support from IFRS tutors.

"The Irish Institute has been running the IFRS diploma since 2004, and the resources are designed with a view to home study," ICAS
assistant director of learning solutions Steven Bennett said.

"The demand for high levels of expertise in financial reporting has never been higher, and this diploma will allow Chartered Accountants to build on their existing expertise to provide greater confidence to investors and other key stakeholders."
