The Institute of Chartered Accountants of
England and Wales (ICAEW) plans to start offering its Associate
Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification in Malta in September.

The training to gain the ACA designation will
be provided by BPP.

The Maltese minister of finance, the economy
and investment Tonio Fenech said in order to secure further growth
highly-skilled human resources are essential.

“The presence of ICAEW in Malta is helping to
do this. Not only by offering technical support through its faculty
agreement with the MIA (Malta Institute of Accountants) but also by
making available the internationally recognised and highly
respected ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification,” he said.

Earlier this year, ICAEW and the MIA signed an
agreement to collaborate on the exchange of technical information,
thought leadership and working together on regulatory matters.
