The International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) has launched an online survey to gather insights, comments and views from stakeholders to help it plan its strategy for 2015 and onwards.

The survey also asks for feedback on increasing its future strategy from the current three years to five years from 2015 as well as input on the appropriate balance between setting new and revised standards and facilitating their adoption and effective implementation.

IAASB chairman Arnold Schilder said the board is looking for "views on emerging developments and trends that are likely to be important in the public interest, as well as specific areas of focus for development of standards and related guidance".

Responses to the survey will inform the development of a formal consultation paper on the IAASB’s strategy and work programme for the period commencing 2015, due to be published in late 2013.

Deadline for comment is 7 May 2013.
