Keith Skeoch has been appointed a board member of the UK
Financial Reporting Council (FRC)..
Skeoch’s appointment to the FRC board comes a year after he was
given an Honorary Doctorate from Teesside University in recognition
of his contribution to the financial services industry. His work
with government, in the aftermath of the global financial crisis,
to establish best practice in stewardship was particularly
commended.
Describing himself as a strong advocate of good corporate
governance, Skeoch said he welcomed the opportunity to contribute
to this increasingly important and relevant aspect of the financial
services industry.
Skeoch, was previously the chief executive of
investment company, Standard Life Investments, a role he assumed in
2004 after joining the firm in 1999. He also joined the board of
Standard Life plc in 2006.

stockbroker, James Capel & Co (HSBC Securities from 1996).
