The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reappointed Lewis Ferguson for a second term as a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), until October 2019.
Ferguson’s first term started in January 2011 and had previously served as PCAOB first general counsel from 2004 to 2007, drawing on his background as an expert in securities law and other areas of legal expertise.
The other PCAOB members are Jeanette Franzel, Jay Hanson, Steven Harris, and chairman James Doty.
Most recently Ferguson chaired the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR), where he still serves as chair of its Global Public Policy Committee Working Group.
While in London to present the results of IFIAR’s annual survey of audit inspections findings, he caught up with The Accountant. Read the interview with Ferguson here.
