The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) has appointed Steven Hobbs as vice president and general counsel.
In this role, Hobbs will conduct and oversee the primary legal duties of the general counsel’s office, including handling contracts, governance matters, managing outside counsel, and providing counsel on general legal issues facing the organisation.
Hobbs most recently served as the FAF’s outside counsel. He succeeds John Auchincloss who is now the FAF’s executive director.
Commenting on Hobbs’ appointment, Auchincloss said: “Steve has provided exemplary service to the Financial Accounting Foundation since he was retained by us last year on an interim basis. We are very pleased he will continue with us as our general counsel, and we look forward to benefiting from his legal insights and experience.”
