Wolf Klinz who had been nominated earlier this year to take the presidency of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) had to step down due to health issues.
The European Commission has restarted the nomination process to find a president to take over the EFRAG board. The body’s governance structures have been modified earlier this year to give it a more political tone: the existing technical expert group remained while a board was created to bring the technical issues to the political sphere.
All members of the Board and technical group have been appointed or re-appointed earlier this year, only the president vacancy needs to be filled.
