The European Tax Adviser Federation (ETAF) has re-elected Philippe Arraou as president during its last general assembly.
Arraou is the former president of French accountancy body CSOEC (Conseil Supérieur de l’Ordre des Experts-Comptables). He still leads the institute’s international work as well as being the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) board member.
Additionally, Michael Korth, honorary professor at the University of Hanover and Volker Kaiser, vice president at the BStBK (Bundessteuerberaterkammer) have been confirmed as board members and they are joined by Luigi Alfredo Carunchio, former president of the National Union Young Chartered Accountants, who will replace Gerardo Longobardi as board member.
The board members will serve for a period of two years.
ETAF is a European umbrella organisation for 230,000 tax professionals from France, Germany and Italy.
