The Canadian Securities Administration (CSA) has issued a
revised National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for
Mineral Projects. The instrument is a codified set of rules and
guidelines for reporting and displaying information related to
mineral properties owned or explored by companies that report these
results on stock exchanges within Canada.

The revised instrument reduces the scope of
certain requirements, provides greater flexibility to mining
issuers, reflects changes that have occurred in the mining industry
and improves the disclosure of areas where the previous standards
were not having the desired effect.

The CSA said 50 public submissions were taken
into account when writing the new standard.

NI 43-101 will come into effect on 30 June
2011.
