Myriam Madden has been elected president of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) at its annual general meeting on 6 June.

Madden served as deputy president during the outgoing president Keith Luck’s tenure. She has held governance roles at CIMA since 2007 including chair of the global members’ services committee and a board member of the audit and risk committee.

Madden also served on the board of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) with whom CIMA has entered in a joint venture three years ago.

She is a director of finance specialising in finance and operational transformation across public sector organisations, financial services and internationally in global blue-chip companies.

Previously she worked as director of finance for Historic Scotland, a government’s agency that preserves the Scottish cultural heritage.

Andrew Miskin was elected deputy president. Previously he was CIMA vice-president for a year. Prior to that Miskin was a partner at PwC UK for 12 years.
