The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA) and Vietnam Chief Financial Officer Club (CFO Club) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) offering a fast track route to CIMA’s professional qualification.
Vietnam’s CFO Club brings together past and present Vietnamese chief financial officers to share experiences, skills, knowledge and information regarding corporate finance, in order to foster Vietnam’s chief financial officers capacities to international standards.
Under the MoU members of VAA and the CFO Club will be able to complete CIMA’s professional qualification by sitting for one exam only. Upon success they will gain access to CIMA membership as well as becoming Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA), the professional qualification born out of the joint venture between CIMA and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
The fast track CFO program is open to VAA and CFO Club members who are chief financial officers or equivalent and who have more than 10 years relevant work experience in an established organisation in Vietnam.
