CAQ issues PCAOB inspections guide

The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) has issued a guide on US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) inspections of public company auditing firms.

The guide will cover the process for selecting and reviewing audits for conformance to audit standards, and the assessment of a firm’s audit quality control programme.

The CAQ PCAOB inspection guide is the latest in a series of publications from the body on topics of interest to investors, public company auditors and the capital markets. Other CAQ guides include the Guide to Public Company Auditing, the In-Depth Guide to Public Company Auditing: the Financial Statement Audit, and theGuide to International Financial Reporting Standards.
